A National Communications Team Member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr.Godwin Ayaba Mahama has stated that the living conditions of the ordinary Ghanaian under the erstwhile John Mahama administration were better as compared to the ruling government, New Patriotic Party.
He noted that the high cost of living is being felt by everyone but there is no one to tell the government and bring them to their toes.
He made this remark in reference to a comment made by the former President, John Dramani Mahama, that, if he had done one-tenth of what the current Government is doing, people would have crucified him.
Mr Godwin Mahama says that the former President was right because those who made noise during his tenure in office are now quiet and it shows how hypocritical they are .” If you look at how things are unfolding under this government and you compare it to the things that happened under John Dramani Mahama, the question you ask is, where are the wise men?, where are the people who were calling for the wise men?, if you look at issues today one after the other, you realized that things are worst today than his era, let us just look at the living conditions of Ghanaians”, he said.
He continued by comparing the corruption fight under the former President to that of the ruling Government,
Mr. Godwin stated that the former President did better than the current President.
He concluded that Ghanaians are being soft on the current government and asked that, they handle the current government like how they did to the former President.
