Let’s hold each other’s hand to rise – Former Eastern Regional Minister

A former Eastern Regional Minister, Mavis Ama Frimpong has urged women to hold each other’s hand to rise.

It is mostly said that, women are enemies to themselves but Hon Mavis urged women to change that narrative by helping themselves.

In an exclusive interview with Nana Ama Nyamekye, she encouraged women who are privileged and holding influential positions and have made it in life to encourage young girls so they can rise in this digital age.

Sanitary pad is too expensive for the girl child

The former regional minister describe as unfortunate the high price of sanitary pads in the country.

She explained that, some girls are unable to fully participate in school activities during their periods because they can’t afford to buy a hygienic product which could make them comfortable.

She however encouraged women to help young girls especially those less privileged who cannot afford sanitary pads.

In Ghana, buying menstrual products is challenging due to tax load.

This hinders some women and girls from having safe and hygienic menstrual periods especially under this current economic situation
