Mfum urges Chris Hughton to be decisive and outspoken 

The Football legend of Ghana Black stars and Kumasi Asante Kotoko has appealed to the New Coach of the Black Stars to be very decisive and outspoken to any interference in his duty.

In an interview,  the 1963 Africa Cup winner, Mfum emphasized that he supported the appointment of the new coach but advised he must be very tough,  decisive and outspoken to any Ghana Football Association member and Government interference in his line of duty.

“Chris Hughton can help if only he will be firm, bold and resilient to any interference to his duty, he should come out and speak out to the public. He should pinpoint out anyone who interferes, such will help him succeed if not he will fail “.

Wilberforce Mfum played professional football in Ghana and the United States.

He was a member of the Ghanaian Olympics Soccer team at the 1964 summer Olympics.

In 1963, he scored two goals in the finals of the 1963 African Cup of Nations as Ghana took the title. He was the second Leading Scorer at the 1968 African cup of Nations and finished runner-up.
