I pray Ghanaians will be delivered from the hands of Akufo-Addo next year as my name ‘Adinam’ means – Sylvester Mensah reveals New Year resolution

A leading Member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and a former Member of Parliament for La Dade-kopon Constituency in the Greater Accra Region Hon. Sylvester Adinam Mensah is praying to God to save Ghanaians from the current hardships caused by the Akufo-Addo led government as part of his new year resolution.


As part of activities for the festive holidays, Management of Ahotor 92.3 Fm invited some personalities to host our various on air programmes which the legendary Gospel Musician Diana Hopeson sat in as the hostess for Ahotor Fm’s Mid-Morning show dubbed ‘Ahotor Mmre’.


Speaking on the special edition of Ahotor Mmre on 28th December,2022 with sit in hostess Diana Hopeson, Hon. Sylvester Mensah said “I am wishing all Ghanaians Merry Christmas and a happy new year, we are praying that the current hardships President Akufo-Addo is putting Ghanaians through will be reduced from next year for all to be ok as your radio station’s name says ‘Ahotor Fm’, we are all praying for Ahotor next year as we don’t know where the country is heading towards”.


“Aside the hardships, government says haircut, people are not getting their investments from banks and it has increased the hardships, now even pension funds are not safe under this government, so I am praying Ghanaians will be delivered from the hands of Akufo-Addo and it is my prayer as well as my new year’s resolution”.


As a Lecturer at the University of Professional Studies (UPSA), Hon. Sylvester Mensah used the opportunity to wish his students well in their exams.


“I will like to use the opportunity to wish my students best of luck in their exams and to those who want to continue to do their masters I wish them also all the best of luck” He said.


The Former Chief Executive Officer at the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Hon. Sylvester Adinam explained the meaning of his name “Adinam”.


“In the Ewe language, we have Edinam and Adinam, Edinam means ‘I have been delivered’ and Adinam means ‘I will be delivered’ so as my name is Sylvester Adinam Mensah, I know Ghanaians will be delivered from Akufo-Addo in 2023” he told Diana Hopeson.
