GFA Congress: Football governing body to spend more next season 

The Ghana Football Association has asked Congress to be permitted to spend over GHC 109M in 2022/23.  The football governing body generated over GHC 39.2M  in 2021, a chunk coming from FIFA, CAF, and government grants. 

FIFA grants totaled GHC 17,173,940, while that of CAF and the government provided a combined GHC 3,179,070 with the state assisting with GHC 1,470,000.

 The FA made over GHC 12M from its sponsorships, Startimes, MTN, UEFA, Melcom, ZAZ, Puma, Decathlon, Woodin, and Kasapreko. The premier league raised GHC 3,057,913, while the Division One league could generate a paltry GHC 136, 396. The FA Cup made GHC 1,345, 582 while the national teams secured the association GHC 4,459,632.  

Non-cash sponsors stood at GHC 3,486,125. Women’s football did not generate revenue for the GFA.
