The minister for food and agriculture Dr Afriyie Akoto says there is no shortage of food in schools as being said.
According to Dr Akoto there is enough food in stock for the schools but the problem is with finance.
According to him for some time now monies supposed to be release for payment of suppliers has not been available and for that matter, the suppliers are reluctant in doing more hence the struggle for food in the schools.
He said if there is someone to be blamed, he can mention the finance leaders because they have seized the availability of monies.
He added that it has been said that there is a lot of struggles with poultry famers in relation to the feed but he ignored the struggling because there is a lot of maize on the market just that the prices have gone up.
He also stated that the saying that young people are less in farming is a lie.
Because he has encountered a lot of professionals leaving their jobs to go into farming because the Agric sector has been made very attractive.
He said for the past 30years he has been the best Agric minister with lot of improvement in the sector.
