The Ghana Football Association (GFA) with directives from the GFA Regulations on Safety and Security and the Disciplinary Code refer to Division One League side Baffour Soccer Academy with venue ban.
Twumasi Complex which is located at Nsoatre in the Bono Ahafo Region has been banned indefinitely from hosting games of Baffour Soccer Academy following the inhuman acts melted on Tamale City FC in their Division One League match day 25 game last weekend.
Videos and pictures were seen, having the homers ambushing the visitors team bus and holding team officials hostage after the draw. Some players got injured and the team bus smashed and damaged.
Following reports gathered by the Ghana Football Association, it has come to the conclusion of punishing Baffour Soccer Academy with their home games being played away from home and if possible played at the venue of the away team.
“The Executive Council has accordingly exercised its powers under article 14(2) of the Division One League regulations and has banned the venue for the use of Baffour Soccer Academy indefinitely”.
“The GFA notes the unacceptable conduct of the supporters of the home team – Baffour Soccer Academy and condemns without any reservations the violation of the provisions of the GFA safety and security regulations which took place at the match”, a statement by the Ghana Football Association reads.
Baffour Soccer Academy hosted the Northern based outfit where the encounter ended 1-1.
