The Concerned Drivers Association of Ghana has expressed their disappointment at government’s 15 pesewas per litre reduction in the cost of fuel beginning April 1, 2022
Speaking on Ahotor evening news, the PRO for the association, David Aboado indicated that, the amount is insignificant to relieve them of the current hardships they are going through
“We are very disappointed in this government. What we were told earlier from our meeting with the transport ministry is different from what the finance minister said today” he explained
Mr Aboado hinted on a meeting tomorrow, Friday 25 to determine their next line of action
“Our naked demonstration will definitely take place and details will be out soon” he said
The finance minister, Ken Ofori Atta today at a press briefing announced measures to mitigate the current economic crisis in the country
To cushion Ghanaians on the rise in fuel prices, he mentioned that, government has reduced the cost of fuel by 15 pesewas
Earlier, transport operators have hinted on a 20% increment despite the already 15% increment in transport to help curb the hardship they are going through should the government fail to do something about the fuel hikes
