Ghana ‘s Mohammed Kudus Suffered Champions elimination with Ajax after his side lost 0-1 at home to Benfica on Tuesday night.
The Portuguese side sailed through on a 3-2 aggregate after the two teams drew 2-2 in the first leg in Lisbon.
The Ghanaian forward ,who is getting back to the game after a lengthy layoff due to an ankle and rib injury, was brought on during injury time .
He has struggled with injuries since moving to Ajax from Nordsjaelland in July 2020.
He has made two appearances in the champions this season for the Dutch giant.
Kudus, who missed the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, is expected to make the squad for Ghana’s crucial World Cup play- offs against Nigeria.
The 21 – year – old has featured 10 times for the Black Stars , scoring 3 goals .
