Alhaji Akambi doesn’t qualify to be on the board – Mohammed Alhassan fumes

Accra Hearts of Oak are going through turbulent times after the resignation of head coach, assistant, goalkeepers coach and team manager within one week making fans so agitated.

Mohammed Alhassan, a former supporters chief has alleged that Alhaji Akambi is one of the major reasons for the clubs predicament and must distance himself from the club immediately.

The former National Chapters Council (NCC) National organiser has alleged that Alhaji Akambi is not clean and  doesn’t qualify to occupy any position in the club after he was indicted in a commission of enquiry during his tenure as NCC chairman.

“He (Alhaji Akambi) doesn’t qualify to be a board member. Our rules and regulations don’t permit for someone who has been indicted before to hold any position in the club but has been smuggled onto the board by Togbe Afede”

” Since the formation of Hearts in 1911, there has never been a board member who has been indicted by a commission apart from Akambi. Why should such a person be a board member”

” The allegations surrounding Alhaji Akambi are too many of which most of them are true because I have proof. He is tarnishing the image of the club and is one of the major reasons we are in this mess”, he concluded.

Hearts of Oak has not won the league since 2009 and are going through turbulent times. This week, the fans stormed and locked up the club’s secretariat after their head coach resigned.
