Baba Rahman has paid his dues in the Black Stars – Yaw Preko

Former Ghana international Yaw Preko believes Baba Rahman has paid his dues over the years for the Black Stars of Ghana.

Reacting to Baba’s decision to opt out of the squad on another platform, Preko believes he has done some good things for himself over the years but not to be linked to his decision not to the booing he faced during his last game for Ghana in September.

“He has played for Ghana and has done some good things for himself by going to the World Cup, the time Ghana needed him he was there, this time round, if he is not there, somebody will play. It is an opportunity for someone too to shine.”

The PAOK defender opted not to be considered for selection for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations despite making the provisional squad.

Baba was instrumental for Ghana during the 2015 AFCON and 2022 World Cup, now having 51 appearances for Ghana.
