AFCON 2023: Ghana drawn in Group B (Group of death)
The Black Stars of Ghana has been drawn in Group B along side the most participated and successful country in the history of AFCON, Egypt, Cape Verde and Mozambique in the Africa Cup of Nations in Cote D’Ivoire next year.
The Brazilians of African (Ghana) will test their first game in the African Cup of Nations facing Cape Verde at the Stade Felix Houphouet-Boigny in Abidjan January 14.
In the second round of games of the competition, the Black Stars team will rock shoulders with the Pharoahs of Egypt on January 18.
Ghana will play their last game in the group on January 22nd when they face Mozambique in the last group game.
The Black Stars are determined to win its fifth continental title as they seek to end the country’s 41-year Africa Cup of Nations trophy drought.
The 34th edition of the tournament, which Ivory Coast will host for the second time after the previous time was in 1984.
AFCON 2023 in Cote D’Ivoire will take place between January 13 and February 11, 2024.
