Three Technicians at Ghana COCOBOD, PDC branch at Koforidua went into the company’s reservoir for maintenance and unfortunately met their untimely death in the course of their duties.
Information coming through indicates that there were five workers that went into the reservoir for the maintenance work but when they were returning one couldn’t come with them, so one went in to rescue their colleague but he too couldn’t come out so one other person followed.
Later a mason who witnessed the incident raised an alarm or a distress call to the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), Ambulance service, and the Ghana police service for rescue but they came with their dead bodies in their rescue operations.
This incident happened yesterday and the bodies have been taken to Koforidua government hospital waiting for autopsy.
