Boxing: Dogboe is certain to defeat Ramirez and win the world championship

On April 1, the main event of Top Rank Boxing will feature a significant featherweight clash between Cuban Robeisy Ramirez and Ghanaian Isaac “Royal Storm” Dogboe for the world featherweight championship.

The bout will feature a 12-round featherweight battle between two-time Olympic gold medalist Robeisy Ramirez (11-1, 7 KOs), a southpaw from Cuba, and former junior featherweight champion Isaac Dogboe (24-2, 15 KOs), a fellow Olympian from Ghana.

The Mexican Emanuel Navarrete, who is currently the WBO junior lightweight champion, will be challenging for the vacant WBO vacant full championship during the fight.

To earn the WBO jr. featherweight championship in New York in December 2018, Navarrete shocked Dogboe in a lopsided decision victory. He brutally beat Dogboe in the subsequent rematch in a bout that shouldn’t have gone beyond round 12 before being halted in May 2019.

Ramirez hasn’t faced anybody like him, according to Dogboe, who has more professional bouts to his belt, and on April 1 he will meet his meter.

Dogboe enters the battle well-prepared and determined knowing that all of Ghana and Africa are behind him.

His administration, with Niche Cocoa’s assistance, is likewise using all effort to guarantee that the guy known as “Neho” succeeds.

“We are ready and prepared,  Dogboe is in the greatest form, and his trainers are working hard to secure success ” – said the team’s PRO.

The Ghana Boxing Supporters Union (GHABSU), the Boxing Writers Association of Ghana (BWAG), headed by Yours Truly, and the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG), with veteran and seasoned sports writer Mr Kwabena Yeboah as president, have all sent well wishes and good luck messages.

The Ghana Boxing Authority, under the direction of Mr Abraham Kotei Neequaye, is hopeful that Dogboe would win the world championship twice.

The battle will occur in Tulsa, Oklahoma’s Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
