Member of Parliament for Buem and a Member of the Defense and Interior Committee in Ghana’s Parliament Kofi Adams, has said there is something wrong with the security system of the country and the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo seems not to care.
He slammed Akufo-Addo for failing to mention the aftermath of the killing of a soldier in Ashaiman during his State of the Nation Address.
Following the death of a soldier in the area, some military personnel moved to attack residents of Ashaiman.
President Akufo-Addo is under increasing pressure to address the military abuses in Ashaiman.
Many anticipated that the President could have made a public statement on the subject as the Commander-in-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces.
Speaking on Ahotor 92.3 Fm’s morning show ‘Ade Kyi Mu Nsem‘, Hon. Kofi Adams said the President during his State of the Nation Address listed some equipments he has provided for military but failed to list the number of brutalities the military has used those equipments for, citing Bawku and Ashaiman as exmaple.
Hon. Kofi Adams believes gradually a lot of Ghanaians are losing interest in the security system of the country.
