(AUDIO): PARLIAMENTARY SELECT COMMITTEE PAYS VISIT TO COMMISERATE WITH SLAIN SOLDIER’S FAMILY

The family of slain soldier, Imoro Sherrif has been urged to remain calm and have faith in the state security system to bring about justice for the slain soldier.

Defence Minister, Dominic Nitiwul made the appeal when members of the defence and interior committees of Parliament paid a visit to the deceased’s family at Ashaiman Zongo Laka to express their condolences

The seven member committee consist of Dominic Nitiwul, Kennedy Agyapong, James Agalga, Kofi Adams, Cletus Avoka, Peter Toobu and B.T Baba.

Addressing the family the Defence minister said government is not resting on its ales until justice is served for the soldier.

He seized the opportunity to advise the youth to desist from the notion that the only way to make quick money was to attack people with arms.

The delegation after visiting the family moved to meet the beaten residents at Official Town.
Addressing the residents Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, the MP for Assin Central who doubles as the Chairman of the parliamentary select Committee called for calm and said the Committee will sit on Tuesday to delve into documents of assault presented to them.

The member of parliament for Ashaiman Hon Ernest Norgbey also indicate that he will make sure to follow the case to the later to ensure that the beaten residents gets justice in any form.
