The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo has said we need Jesus to take the steers of the country’s economy because we are almost heading towards a ditch
Speaking on Simpieso, the hottest political show on Monday August 22, 2022 hosted by Emmanuel Martey, Alaska De Don, Dr Ampofo indicated that, the former president, John Dramani Mahama and his team of experts in the interest of Ghana are prepared to help the Nana Addo-Bawumia led government to salvage the economy
He explained that, when the NDC was faced with a similar situation, former president Mahama demonstrated leadership by showing the good way and by so doing was able to put home grown policies together which made the NPP inherited a good economy
He reiterated, “if we all don’t help in stabilizing our cedi, the economy will collapse and all Ghanaians will bear the consequences irrespective of the political affiliation”
His comment came following comments by the president, Nana Addo Danquah indicating that, he continue to have abiding faith in God to turn the fortunes of the nation around
