The National Chairman of the NDC, Hon. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo has expressed grave concern over the turbulent economic situation and the excruciating economic pains Ghanaians are going through at the moment.
Speaking on UTV’s late political show on Wednesday, Chairman Ofosu Ampofo revealed that the Akuffo-Addo led gov’t has broken the trust and the confidence Ghanaians had in him prior to his coming.
He went further to describe situation as dire and has called for an immediate intervention to remedy the situation but instead the government has rather become so much concerned about breaking the 8 going the next elections. Speaking on breaking the eight mantra by the npp, Hon. Ofosu Ampofo revealed that the NPP has already broken the 8 and even the 9 referring to the current dollar rate in Ghana.
“They said they will break the 8 but they’ve already broken the 8 and the 9, check the dollar rate and that’s the only 8 they will break because Akuffo-Addo has already broken the confidence and the trust of Ghanaians and even his own party people have lost trust in him”
Reacting to the president’s decision not to reshuffle his ministers, Chairman Ofosu-Ampofo indicated that the president has lost touch with reality becuase the failures of Akufo-Addo’s government is so revealing to be seen even from afar and the president’s reaction only affirms the fact that there’s a gulf between him and his people.
