[PHOTOS] Check why soldiers beat up police officer and inflict wounds on him

A police officer with the Central Region Police Command, Evans Appawu Gyima, has allegedly been beaten by a group of military personnel at Duakor, a community close to the University of Cape Coast.

Eyewitness report indicates that the police officer had blocked the main road to enable an accident vehicle to be towed for a free traffic flow when the military vehicle with registration number 52GA69 arrived from the direction of Takoradi.

The military officers are said to have confronted the police officer to allow them passage but were declined.

This generated an argument leading to an assault on the police officer.
