President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has begun a tour of the Western Region as well as the Western North Region.
He will be in the two regions for the next four days.
This is part of the president’s annual tour of all the 16 regions to inspect projects being undertaken by his government.
He has so far toured all regions in the north – Ahafo, Bono East, Bono, Savannah, Northern, Upper West and Upper East.
As characteristic of his tours, President Akufo-Addo will pay courtesy calls on traditional rulers, cut sods for commencement of a number of projects and inspect work on several ongoing others.
He will also commission projects that have been completed.
On Day 1, President Akufo-Addo will first visit Dompim in the Wassa East District, where he will commission a rubber factory.
“As we have been doing, in the course of the tour, the general public will be kept up to speed with respect to everything that is happening,” Director of Communications at the Presidency Eugene Arhin told journalists on Monday.
