2020 Vice Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang on Saturday January 30, 2020, made a donation to Royal Seed Orphanage Home, Papaase No 1 in the Awutu Senya West Constituency of the Central Region.
Among the items received by the orphanage were bags of rice, drinks, toiletries and unspecified amount of money.
Professor Opoku Agyemang explains that her gesture was in recognition of the efforts being made by this and other non-profit organisations to help the needy, especially in remote areas.
She added that, upon recommendation her office decided to support Royal Seed Orphanage Home having heard and assessed their plights.
While presenting the items Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang took the opportunity to appeal to Ghanaians to play a supportive role to help charitable organizations across the country and also to help the needy in diverse ways.
“We understand the orphanage need help so that’s why we came to their aid. Someone wholeheartedly brought these children together so we also have to support them, it shouldn’t always the government. My heart is with the children”
Adding that “this is not my first time, I have been doing this to the needy through some people but I have to bring it myself. I do this a lot. “In this life all we need do is to appreciate God and help the needy. We are glad to support the children” She said
The Vice Presidential candidate, however, urged caretakers of the orphanage to take very good care of the orphans.
Professor Jane was accompanied by some National and constituency executives.
