In a statement contained and signed by the Chief of Staff, Hon. Akosua Frema Opare, it reads President Nana Akufo Addo has directed all foreign travels by Ministers and deputies, and Heads of Government Agencies be temporarily suspended with immediate effect exempting the minister of Foreign Affairs and regional integration, Hon Shirley Ayorko Botwe
The statement which was communicated on Sunday, further directed all Municipal, Metropolitan and District Chief Executives to also take note and offer strict compliance to the said directives by the President.
Similarly the communiqué scheduled to explained that, until such periods of embarking on foreign travel by these listed personalities by ban, domestic activities would be allocated them in that regard for execution. It is however unclear what might have prompted the President to consider this move.
