There’s nothing wrong with reintroducing Prof. Opoku Agyemang to the world – NDC replies to critics

Anthony Nukpenu, the Greater Accra Regional Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has dismissed assertions that reintroducing Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang as their running mate for the 2024 elections constitutes a waste of time, energy, and resources.

According to Mr. Nukpenu, there is no impediment to the party reintroducing their chosen candidate from 2020 to the public eye.

In preparation for the December polls, the NDC is scheduled to introduce their running mate officially, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, today, April 24, 2024, at the Kofi Ohene Konadu Auditorium at the University of Professional Studies (UPSA).

In a statement released by the party’s Communications Officer, Sammy Gyamfi, the event aims to underscore the NDC’s commitment to inclusivity and progressive leadership as they gear up for the upcoming elections. The ceremony is anticipated to draw the attendance of several notable figures within the NDC, including former President John Dramani Mahama, the party’s flagbearer for the 2024 general elections.

During an interview on Ahotor 92.3 FM, Mr. Nukpenu expressed the NDC’s unwavering confidence in securing victory in 2024, refuting assertions that reintroducing Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang in 2024 constitutes a misuse of time and resources.
