The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) is planning to organize a concert for upcoming musicians on March 6 – Bessa Simon.

The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) has announced its plans to organize a concert that aims to showcase the talents of budding artists on March 6th, which is Ghana’s Independence Day.

The event promises to be an exciting celebration of Ghanaian music and a platform for emerging talents to showcase their skills, he said in an interview on Joy Fm.

Bessa Simons, the interim president of MUSIGA, expressed his enthusiasm about the upcoming concert and emphasized its significance in providing a stage for aspiring musicians to gain exposure and recognition.

According to him, the concert is a collaboration with the Akwaaba Festival, and the aim is to provide an opportunity for young artists who do not have access to big stages, lights, and social media platforms to showcase their talents.

MUSIGA is committed to nurturing young talent and supporting the growth of Ghana’s music industry, and this concert is in line with that commitment. The event is an invitation to managers and corporate entities to come and see these young artists perform and potentially do business with them.

In addition to the concert, MUSIGA is also organizing a music and tourism workshop, along with a health screening for musicians, at the Accra Tourist Information Centre on March 5th, 2024.

The union is also launching a project named “Let’s Play Ghana Music” on March 11, 2024, aimed at reigniting the public’s passion for Ghanaian music. Another concert at the Gold Coast Restaurant on March 30, 2024, will focus on promoting highlife music.
