Show Covid-19 evidence on TV before i will believe- Bagbin

The second deputy speaker of parliament and MP for Nandoli/kalio Hon Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin has called on the government to show evidence of facts on Coronavirus.

According to the longest-serving Member of Parliament in Ghana, it’s difficult to believe the numbers that has been churn out by government officials including the health minister on cases count, recoveries and death with just mere announcement without any solid evidence. “I want to see on TV some evidence of death on admission” he requested.

The first speaker said this during his comments on a statement made by the minister of health on the situation on CSM AND COVID 19 IN GHANA.

The Speaker questioned an analysis of made by the Communication Minister Hon Ursula Owusu Ekuffu that God does not exist but mankind still believes there is God, he said, figures of COVID 19 cannot be compared to some, but some evidence should be produced.

Mr. Balgbin commended all the Frontline workers including the president, security officers, and others for putting their lives in danger to assist in fighting the pandemic. Ghana has recorded 183 more cases of COVID-19 taking the country’s case count to 5,918, according to the latest figures released on May 19, 2020, by the Ghana Health Service. Two more people have died from the deadly virus taking the death toll to 31 with no new recoveries as the number still stands at 1,754.

The Speaker of Parliament reminded the Lawmakers to adhere to the preventive protocols for Covid-19.
