NPC President Aim for Ghana’s Participation in Paralympic Games in France

During NPC Extraordinary General Assembly, the President of Ghana’s National Paralympic Committee, Samson Deen, articulated a pivotal goal for the committee to ensure Ghana’s participation in the Paralympic Games in France.

This objective underscores the commitment of the committee to promote inclusivity and provide opportunities for athletes with disabilities to excel on the international stage.

In an exclusive interview , NPC President Samson Deen emphasized that in the history of Ghana , no athlete has been able to qualify for Olympics on merit but per the discretion of the NPC President but its time to go pass that level and have more athletes to qualify or get classifications for Wildcard selection.

Ghana has a rich history of athletic talent, and the Paralympic Games offer a platform for disabled athletes to showcase their skills and compete at the highest level.

By striving to include Ghana in the upcoming Paralympic Games in France, the National Paralympic Committee aims to not only elevate the profile of disabled athletes but also to inspire individuals with disabilities across the nation to pursue their sporting dreams.

As preparations intensify and plans take shape, the National Paralympic Committee remains steadfast in itself commitment to realizing the objective of Ghana’s participation in the Paralympic Games in France.

Some sports federations that existed before 2019 and are affiliated with international sports federations with notable ones like Para Judo, Boccia Para Sports, Amputee Football Association, Para Soft, Para Table Tennis , Adaptive Boxing and other sports , as the amended constitutions states, all recognized disability sports must register and be members of the NPC Ghana by default.
