I sold my father’s property to sustain my drug addiction – Timothy Bentum

A Ghanaian actor and pastor, Timothy Bentum, recently shared his 17-year-long struggle with drug addiction.

He revealed that he was heavily addicted to cocaine and drugs, which forced him to sell his father’s properties to fuel his habit. Bentum’s addiction had taken him to the lowest of lows, and he admitted that he had sold everything in his father’s house.

However, Bentum expressed immense gratitude to God for his eventual deliverance and admitted that he couldn’t fully explain how he managed to break free.

He stated that his case was unique because he had no withdrawal symptoms or running nose. Bentum’s story is not uncommon in the creative industry, as many others, such as musician Okyeame Kwame and MOG Music, have also opened up about their struggles with addiction.

As these stories of addiction and recovery emerge, Ghanaian musician Rex Omar has issued a heartfelt plea to the public to show compassion and support for those struggling with drug addiction. Omar stressed the importance of understanding the dangers of addiction and offering assistance to those in need.
