The Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central Hon. Isaac Adongo has called on the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Finance Ministry to stop peddling lies about the financial status of the country.
According to Mr. Adongo, comparing this year’s financial status to that of this; is a clear indication that, last year the country’s financial stand was better than this year.
So it would be a big lie for the IMF and Finance Ministry to tell Ghanaians, currently our financial status is better than last year, and due to that, the IMF is praising the country adding that, the $600m loan Ghana is seeking from the IMF will be giving.
Hon Adongo’s call came due to last week’s meeting held between the IMF and Finance Ministry, where the IMF was praising Ghana for disbursing loans received from them wisely.
