Tema West NPP Chairman Hon Kwesi Poku has called on society to stop putting pressure on people on issues of marriage and other family and social and cultural issues.
He said most of this societal pressure leads to suicide among some people who cannot withstand this unnecessary in society because the person does not have control over such unfortunate situations but rather God.
He mentions challenges in marriage, childbirth, and high-level education amongst others are some of the confronting issues affecting our society.
To him this makes some people in the society depressed leading to suicide.
He spoke to Citizen Kofi Owusu in reply to world suicide prevention day which was celebrated on September 10th.
