The Bankroller of Tema Youth disregards FC, Wilfred Osei Kwaku Palmer, has revealed that he will not be contesting in the upcoming Elections of the Ghana Football Association scheduled for October.
Palmer, who has held various roles during Kwesi Nyantakyi’s administration, mentioned that he has not considered contesting in the GFA coming elections at this time.
“I’m feeling better now but as for the GFA elections, I have not given it a thought yet,”
Wilfred Kwaku Osei Palmer has been battling with some illness off late but is enjoying good health now.
Palmer previously ran for the GFA presidential seat in 2019 but was disqualified by the Vetting Committee of the Normalization Committee for failing to pay 10 per cent of Joseph Paintsil’s transfer fee.
He appealed the decision at the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS), but his request for a stay of execution was dismissed, allowing the election to proceed, which was ultimately won by Kurt Okraku.
Tema Youth is facing the threat of relegation to Division Two following an order from the GFA Player Status Committee to settle their debts to Young RedBull FC regarding the onward transfer fee of Joseph Paintsil.
