Black Queens goalkeeper Cynthia Findib Konlan has expressed confidence in the team beating Guinea if they play according to the coach’s instructions.
“I am very confident in our team and If we put everything into practice, Guinea will be a step over. As a goalkeeper, you always need to be ready. Black Queens work as a team and we know what we can do and we know what our coaches have been giving us.”
Cythian is in the final 23-woman squad announced by head coach Nora Hauptle and believes the team could come back with victory if they get their plan right on Friday.
Ghana will face Guinea in the first round of the 2024 Olympic Games qualifier with the first-leg coming off on Friday, July 14.
The Black Queens are chasing a first appearance at the Olympic Games.
