The Accra High Court has lifted the injunction that temporarily blocked the funeral of Ghanaian highlife legend Daddy Lumba, clearing the way for the ceremony to take place tomorrow, Saturday, December 13.
The legal restraint—initiated by Abusuapanyin Kofi Owusu—stemmed from a GH¢2 million demand he placed on the musician’s maternal family. With the family unable to meet the deadline for the payment, the court overturned the injunction, giving organisers full permission to proceed with preparations.
