Kenneth Kofi Kabu Kanor, the Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ada Constituency of the Greater Accra Region, has criticized the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) regarding the launch of the Kumasi 1 Thermal Power Project.
The commissioning of the Kumasi 1 Thermal Power Project on Wednesday, April 18, by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo aims to alleviate voltage and power quality issues in Kumasi and the northern regions of Ghana. The Volta River Authority (VRA) has stated that this project will enhance system voltages, thus improving overall system stability.
President Akufo-Addo will be joined at the event, held at Anwomaso Kumasi, the project site, by Energy Minister Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the VRA, Ing. Emmanuel Antwi Darkwa.
In response to this development, the Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ada Constituency, Kenneth Kofi Kabu Kanor, expressed his views on Ahotor 92.3 FM‘s Simpieso with host Emmanuel Martey. Mr. Kabu highlighted the importance of acknowledging the contributions of the NDC to such projects.
