Joan Smith, the General Secretary of the Namibia National Olympics Committee, has lauded Ghana’s substantial investment in the African Games.
This investment has resulted in fierce competition owing to Ghana’s construction of an ultra-modern sports facility at Borteyman and the completion of the University of Ghana Sports Stadium for this purpose.
Ms Smith opines that such investments will make athletes from Ghana highly competitive in forthcoming competitions as these infrastructures are significant within the sub-region.
Additionally, she commended the Ministry of Youth and Sports for raising awareness about sporting activities through these facilities’ development, thereby boosting their profile nationwide.
