Offiong Edem is a Nigerian International tennis player who competed for Nigeria at the 2004 and 2012and 2016 Summer Olympics.
Offiong is the first woman to win a medal at the ongoing 13th Africa Games tournament in Ghana.
According to her the competion was tough but added that she was happy to have won a medal. Offiong embraces the Nigerian federation for making it possible because it saves like training tours.
After the victory Edem said; Egyptian have quality players, because they play a lot of tournaments, but we don’t have that opportunity. I am always calm, and l try to do my best.”
