With the high unemployment rate of about 14% rise in the country its very unfortunate and strange the flag bearer and the leader of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia is trying to belittle the twenty four hour economy policy espouse by John Dramani Mahamah.
Looking at the reality of economic hardship in the country the policy is the game change for economic prosperity the country.
The Cape Coast South Constituency Secretary of the National Democratic Congress George Justice Arthur said this on the Simpieso Political Talk show on Ahotor 92.3 FM hosted by Emmanuel Amartey in Accra.
He is of the view that, looking at the political promises the President Nana Akufo-Addo and the Vice president Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia promise the people of Central Region, was just empty political talk and for the past seven years the region cannot boast any substantial infrastructural development.
George Justice Arthur, reiterated that, he is not surprise to hear from Dr. Bawumia doing what he can do well, by trying to mimic the 24 hour economy policy which can bring jobs and development, with strategic implementation policy.
He opined that he is optimistic and knowing the records of John Dramani Mahama, he is convinced that, the policy succeed and will not be the mediocrity the NPP government has attached to one district one factory as a populist project, without making huge economic impact as expected.
Speaking on the same platform same plat form Communication officer of Shai-Osudoku Constituency of the National Democratic Congress, said the NPP government has disconnected himself from the reality of economic hardship going on in the country. And called on Ghanaians to rally around the NDC and support the policy to bring economic prosperity into the country.
He is of the view that, NPP used deception and lairs to woo Ghanians to vote for them. In effect use the trust and the political given to Dr. Bawumia and the president to mismanaged the economy and has nothing to show for the past seven years in office as the magic one to bring economic prosperity to Ghanaians.
He further stated that the next election is a contest between Ghanaians and New Patriotic Party. It’s very clear that, NPP leadership is not in charge to develop the country, rather all that they can account for is corruption and bad governance.
