Am still the best coach for the Black Stars – Coach Chris Hughton reveals

Ghana’s coach Chris Hughton has revealed that he is the best coach for the Black Stars after a heavy defeat to United States of America in an international friendly.

In a post match interview after the heavy defeat, coach Chris Hughton issued an apology and expressed confidence of turning this around when he was asked whether he is the right man for the job ?.

“If you ask me if I feel like I’m the right person for this job ? the answer is yes i am , although the result today is very disappointing but we have two games to play in November for world cup qualifiers and its my responsibility as the head coach to turn the bad defeat and bad performance to a better ones.”

The Black Stars were humiliated 4-0 by the Americans when both nation wrapped up their friendlies in a game at the GEODIS Park in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Black Stars under Chris Hughton has been uninspiring and struggled to countries like Central African Republic and Madagascar during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. 

The Black Stars will be back in action next month for the start of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
