Most of the players are inexperienced in the Black stars – Jordan Ayew
Ghana Black Stars striker Jordan Ayew has appealled to Ghanaians to be patient with the team because some of the new players are inexperienced after their poor performances in the international friendlies.
In a post match interview after their defeat, Jordan Ayew emphasized that most of the current players at the Black Stars are inexperienced and will need time so Ghanaians should be patient with them.
“First of all, I feel like we need a bit of time because it is a new group with a lot of new players and most of the players are inexperienced so it is not easy but we are working on it because we know we don’t have time and these type of game is a reality check, its a new team we are building so Ghanaians should be patient with them.”
Ghana concluded their friendlies in the month with a 4-0 embarrassing defeat to the United States of America at the GODIES Park in Nashville, Tennessee on Wednesday morning.
A first half brace from Giovanni Reyna and other goals from Christian Pulisic and Folarin Balogun aided the North Americans to humiliate the Black Stars.
Ghana will begin the worldcup qualification round against Madagascar and Comoros before the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote D’Ivoire next year.
