The Cardiothoracic Center at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital has launched World Heart Day. The celebration is on September 29th each year worldwide.
Speaking at the lunch, the Acting Director for the Korle Bu Cardiothoracic Center Professor Mark Mawutor Tetteh advised persons between the ages of 25 to visit the hospital to check their heart condition at least once a year to prevent hypertension and other heart diseases that kill so easily.
