MP for North Dayi, Joycelyn Tetteh has urged young women to ignore some distractions to their progress in life.
She indicated that, not everyone desires to see us achieve success in life and therefore, allowing some negative words from people to get into us only rob us of our strength and joy which shouldn’t be allowed.
“It will be difficult to get somebody coming out hundred percent to say, ‘I want to see you successful’. A lot of us don’t want to see each other successful
In an exclusive interview with Ahotor FM’s Nana Ama Nyamekye, Hon Tetteh said, there are ‘insults’ especially to women which seem to question something natural we do not have answers to which affects many women negatively.
One of which she stated is, the pressure on women to get married and have children
“I’m saying on record, you cannot buy husbands from the market, Accra Mall, do they sell husbands there? Even if you have the money, you won’t get a man to buy” she said.
“If somebody decides to use something which is natural to insult you, I don’t know why you should allow it get the best part of you, because, there is nothing you can do about it” she added
She urged women not allow any negative comment cause them to look down on themselves or discourage them.
