As a concerned NDC grassroot person I am very much concerned about the many slanderous and negative campaigns being embarked on by Asiedu Nketiah and those in his camp against the national Chairman of our great party, Chairman Ofosu-Ampofo ahead of the National delegates elections.
Again as someone who has worked so many years for the NDC at the Grassroot level, i am worried about the platoon of “mercenaries” and faceless operatives who have been contracted by detractors of Chairman Ofosu-Ampofo to character-assassinate him beginning from now until the elections day on 17th December 2022.
Let’s also put it on record that, it was our General Secretary who started this acrimonious campaign when he appeared on a Kumasi based Oyerapa tv, a station which has in recent times become a slaughter house of negative propaganda against Ofosu-Ampofo’s bid for re- election.
Evidently, the first character assassin from the Ashanti region has struck! But the good people of the Ashanti Region have denounced his pronouncement, distanced themselves, and consequently disowned him.
Again, some of us are also aware of certain machinations by a senior appointee under President Mahama who has been calling some Greater Accra Regional Executives and asking them to support Asiedu Nketiah because he’s the former President’s candidate. This is one of the many falsehood campaigns these guys have embarked on and unfortunately this particular old-fashioned propaganda hit a snag when President Mahama and his family openly issued a disclaimer drowning their attempt to disrupt the beautiful cordial relationship that has been existing between Chairman Ampofo and President Mahama.
I will therefore advise all delegates that this internal cruelty, vile and vicious propaganda being unleashed on our God-fearing, decent, and caring Chairman should be seen as a hostile attempt by these desperate power seekers to wreck the front of the NDC ahead of the 2024 elections for their individual selfish ambitions. These are characters who only care about individual and faimily gains over the collective interest of the NDC.
I will say again, allow policies and good ideas for our Party, and not insults and wickedness, to influence your judgment and decision when you cast your vote on 17th December 2022.
I also know the many schemes and mischievous propaganda lined up in the coming days to attack Chairman Ofosu-Ampofo and as someone who love the NDC , I will encourage him to remain calm and Continue selling his policies to delegates and Insha Allah , he shall be retained.
