The former head coach of the Black Stars, Otto Addo revealed the motive for accepting to coach the Ghana black stars during the Qatar world cup 2022.
In an interview, he said the decision was in his hand whether to work with the GFA and he agreed to coach the Ghana Black star team and help the player because it was an agreement with the GFA.
“The decision was in my hand and before I started to work for the GFA everybody knew I said it before I had a contract with Dortmund and I have to respect that. And even to come to hear was very difficult and GFA put a lot of effort to release me at the end they came back themselves and decided to release me for the stars.”
”All you have to know is that the position I have as a tenant coach is very crucial and dominant, we produce every year a lot of big talent and it’s a crucial position for the club so normally there won’t but because I want to fly the country and GFA went there, and had very good thoughts release me for six months and I had to sign an agreement between the GFA and Dortmund”
”They told me they wouldn’t like me to go but I told them it was one similar opportunity for me to go so should let me go we agreed on six months which will end now and I have anything to do with outcome signed and if it were to be a world champion and I have to respect my contract and the club I work for and surely one day I will get the chance to work with GFA but the next two and a half year I have a contract.”
