A report by the Chronicle Newspaper dated 31st August 2022 stated that NDC MPs visited the Jublie House to say thank you to President Akufo-Addo for massive projects done in their constituencies.
But in an interview with Ahotor 92.3fm, the Honorable MP for Nkoranza North Joseph Kwesi Mensah has refuted claims that himself and some other two MPs in the persons of Pru East MP Honorable Kwabena Donkor as well as Sene West MP Kwame Twumasi Ampofo had gone to the jubilee house independently as MPs to say thank you to President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo for developmental projects in the Bono East region.
He said they had only been called on by the Bono East Regional House of Chiefs to escort them say thank you to the President for creating the region and as well relay their problems and disturbances.
He added that even with their worries, the MPs did not speak at the jubilee house but the chiefs themselves spoke.
“We are MPs and we were voted for by our constituents to bring development so we could not in any way refuse the call of the chiefs since the move to the jubilee house was for development” he told Nana Dogbe on Adekye mu Nsem on Ahotor 92.3fm
The MPs had joined the Bono East Regional House of Chiefs to the jubilee house on Tuesday 30th August 2022.
