According to UK High Commissioner to Ghana, Harriet Thompson admits that although she listens to many musicians too often, she rated king promise as her biggest fan.
The respected politician listed the She named Nungua-born based artiste as his favorite in his recent interview.
She said King Promise is her favorite out of a pool of other mainstream artists because he shares the same birthday with him.
“Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Gyakie, all of them. I have to say King Promise is a favorite because I recently discovered that he is my birthday twin.
I really enjoy the arts, and the fashion, it’s just so rich and energizing. I am terrible at words and names, but I am enjoying it,” she said.
King Promise recently revealed how some industry players have conspired to frustrate him from winning any award in the country.
King Promise shared his sentiment in his recent interview “I have heard stories like ‘he thinks he’s too good for the industry, so they are teaching him a lesson. But that’s not the case. As I said, I’m fully Ghanaian to the core. And anything I do to the rest of the world is me representing Ghana.”
“It’s not like it bothers me, but at the end of the day, when I wake up after the awards, I’m the one trending, not even their awards. And I’m like, Ah, my fans are not happy. And that one bothers me. Why is everyone talking about it? Because everyone knows that I deserve it,” he emphasized.
“I have done so well for myself and the country in general. I had the most streamed Ghanaian album of all time. And when that happened, I wasn’t nominated for Artiste of the Year. But when I didn’t have any album, I was nominated for Artiste of the Year”.
