The Center for International Maritime Affairs Ghana, has commented on the retail law as it records how Nigeria has been strong over their laws in past years.

According to the Maritime, the infiltration of Ghana retail trade by foreigners is appalling, as some leaders of the foreign retailers are in league with those who are to ensure that, the retail business is protected.

These foreigners have infiltrated into cargo clearing at the ports which by law is the sole preserve of indigenes.

Mr Fiati advised that Ghana therefore stands on straight grounds to protect its trade and straighten measure to protect freight forwarding.

It will be recorded that for some time now, Nigerians’ in Ghana started a fight with Ghanaians’ over retail business which called the attention of the Nigerian government asking a representative who met with the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo- Addo who agreed to take second look at the retail law to establish peace.
