The Electoral Commission(EC) has denied issuing a voter’s ID card to an Asian describing the card as fake.
A card that bears the photograph of an Asian male with the ID No:2809012504 has gone viral on social media with people questioning how a foreigner could acquire the card.
But the Electoral Commission in a statement clarified that the card was not issued to the Asian male and that it was originally issued to Nana Kwaku Okai Brako.
“All of the photographs on the EC Voters ID cards have a blue background. In the photoshopped ID card, the background of the photograph with the Asian male is cream. We call on the public to discredit it.
“We are working with the police to investigate how the card belonging to Nana Kwaku Okai Brako was photoshopped and circulated,” the statement added
