Ghanaian actor and politician John Dumelo has highlighted Ghana’s growing role in Africa’s agricultural sector after chairing the Africa Ministerial Seed Summit in Ezulwini, Eswatini.
Mr Dumelo, who shared the achievement on social media, described chairing the high-level summit as an honour and privilege, which brought together key agricultural stakeholders from across the continent.
The summit was held at a time when Ghana serves as the current Vice Chair of the Specialised Technical Committee on Agriculture, Rural Development, Water and Environment, giving the country an important role in discussions on Africa’s agricultural development.
The event was attended by the Prime Minister of Eswatini, alongside agricultural ministers and other key representatives from various African countries.
Sharing moments from the summit, Dumelo expressed pride in representing Ghana on such an important continental platform.
