Pierre Bazie Joins Black Stars Technical Team as Opposition Scout Under Carlos Queiroz

Ghana’s technical team is steadily taking shape following the appointment of Carlos Queiroz, with Ivorian-born coach Pierre Bazie set to join the Black Stars as an opposition scout, GHANAsoccernet.com reports.

Bazie, who holds dual Ivorian and Danish nationality, brings a rich blend of coaching and analytical experience to the role as Ghana intensifies preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The 43-year-old has spent the majority of his career in Denmark, where he built a strong reputation in youth development and performance analysis.

His coaching journey includes roles as assistant manager at Hellerup Youth and youth coach at Virum-Sorgenfri BK, where he played a key part in nurturing emerging talents.

Bazie also served as an individual coach at AC Horsens, working closely with both first-team players and youth prospects to enhance their technical and tactical abilities.

Between January 2024 and June 2025, he further strengthened his credentials as assistant coach of Lyngby BK’s U19 side, contributing significantly to the club’s youth development structure.

On the international stage, Bazie most recently worked as assistant coach of the Burkina Faso national team. However, his tenure came to an end in January following the team’s campaign at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

His appointment is expected to bolster Ghana’s match preparation, particularly in opponent analysis, as Queiroz continues to assemble a well-rounded backroom staff aimed at enhancing the Black Stars’ competitiveness on the global stage.
