Man abandons fiancée who gave birth to triplets

As the world prepares to celebrate Father’s Day on Sunday, one man has done the unimaginable by abandoning his fiancée after she gave birth to triplets.

The man identified only as David abandoned his 39-year-old fiancée few months before she successfully gave birth to the triplets at Akyem Asafo in the East Akyem Municipality of the Eastern region.

David reportedly demanded that Elizabeth Ansah, whom he had been betrothed to for over a year, terminate the pregnancy seven months into the gestation period but the woman refused.

The man subsequently dumped the woman and denied responsibility of the pregnancy.

Due to financial challenges, Elizabeth could not attend antenatal until she begun to develop serious complications.

She was admitted to the hospital for four days under strict medical supervision to control her blood pressure ahead of her delivery.

Unemployed Elizabeth, gave birth to three boys eight months ago through a Caesarean Section at Akyem Tafo Government Hospital but she is unable to cater for her babies due to her financial situation.

Elizabeth, who lost both parents years ago, struggles to buy diaper, baby food and other essential products for the well-being of her babies.

The babies who are suffering from several health disorders have developed some skin diseases but their mother says she has no money to send the babies to the hospital for treatment.

The nursing mother survives on donations from residents in the community.

Elizabeth narrating her story said her fiancée has refused to return home even after her delivery.

According to her, several attempts to reach David to support her take care of the children has proved futile.

Elizabeth is also facing a possible ejection from her rented apartment since her rent is due for payment.

She is appealing to the general public to come to her aid so she can feed her triplets.
