“We are collaborating with stakeholders to address network difficulties – NCA.

The National Communications Authority (NCA) has announced its ongoing collaboration with stakeholders to guarantee the reinstatement of mobile network services nationwide. The Authority had previously issued a public alert regarding multiple disruptions in undersea cables, significantly affecting both mobile and fixed data services across the country. These disruptions, originating in Senegal and Cote d’Ivoire, and further incidents in Portugal, have led to a notable decline in data services quality.

The NCA further highlighted that Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) had implemented redundancies on alternative cables and were tirelessly working to fully restore services.

Kofi Ntim Yeboah-Kordieh, a Manager at the Regulatory Administrations Division of the NCA, emphasized that the Authority had initiated discussions with all submarine cable providers to investigate the situation and explore rerouting options to expedite service restoration.
